1. Ink balance control
In the UV printing process, the amount of water is relatively sensitive. On the basis of ensuring the balance of ink and water, the less the amount of water, the better. Otherwise, the ink is prone to emulsification, resulting in problems such as opaque ink film and large hue fluctuation, which will affect the curing of UV ink. degree. On the one hand, it may cause over-curing; on the other hand, after the ink film is formed on the surface of the paper, the internal ink is not dry. Therefore, in the process control, the UV ink curing effect can be detected by the aforementioned method.
2.Workshop temperature and humidity control
The stability of temperature and humidity in the workshop is also an important factor to ensure the curing effect of UV ink. Humidity and temperature changes will have a certain impact on the curing time of UV inks. Generally speaking, when UV printing is performed, the temperature is controlled at 18-27°C, and the relative humidity is controlled at 50%-70%. At present, in order to maintain the stability of the humidity in the workshop and prevent paper deformation, many printing companies often install a spray humidification system in the workshop. At this time, more attention should be paid to the time period for the start of the spray humidification system and the continuous spraying to ensure the stability of the workshop humidity.
3.Control of UV energy
(1)Determine the UV lamps suitable for different substrates, and perform verification tests on their service life, wavelength adaptability and energy matching.
(2)When curing the UV ink, determine the UV energy that meets the process requirements to ensure the curing effect.
(3)Regularly clean and maintain the UV lamp tube, use ethanol to clean the surface dirt, and reduce the reflection and diffraction of light.
(4)Implemented 3 optimizations for the UV lamp reflector.
